What happens if my cruise cannot take place due to the pandemic situation ?
If you are affected by any of the following :
- your government prohibits you from travelling to your destination area
- a lockdown measure is in place or a quarantine is imposed on your arrival or return from your cruise
- there are border closure or restricted movement measures in place
- we are unable to provide your boat due to a decision by the government
we will offer you the choice of postponing your cruise or cancelling it and receiving a refund.
What happens if a crew member falls ill with covid or is declared a ‘contact case’?
The cancellation insurance offered by Axa River Centre covers you if you or a member of your crew is diagnosed with covid-19 but only if the illness results in complications and hospitalisation.
If you do not take out cancellation insurance and you test positive for covid or are a ‘contact case’ then we will give you the option of rescheduling your cruise to a later date, upon presentation of proof.
What happens if I want to cancel my booking even though it is not affected by covid-19 ?
If the cruising is possible, the rental company is able to accommodate you and you are not affected by any of the force majeure events listed above, then we will apply our general rental conditions.
Terms of payment
The payment conditions remain unchanged : a deposit of 40% is required at the time of booking, and the balance must be paid 4 weeks before departure for the booking to be maintained.
A vaccination certificate is not required to board our boats.
