Cancellation insurance

GUARANTEE
The insur­ers are com­mit­ted to refund the insured the amount retained by the rental com­pa­ny and invoiced under the gen­er­al terms of sale, exclud­ing the reg­is­tra­tion fees, when the insured can­cel the cruise 8 weeks or less before the depar­ture exclu­sive­ly in the cas­es described below. The guar­an­tee expires on the depar­ture day of the cruise.

SERIOUS DISEASE, SEVERE ACCIDENT OR DEATH includ­ing the relapse, exac­er­ba­tion of a chron­ic or pre-​existent dis­ease and the action,the con­se­quences of an acci­dent which occurred before the sub­scrip­tion of the contract,
- of your­self, your common-​law hus­band /​wife,
- your par­ents or chil­dren, and /​or from your common-​law hus­band /​wife,
- your broth­ers, sis­ters, brothers-​in-​law, sisters-​in-​law, sons-​in-​law, daughters-in-law,
- your pro­fes­sion­nal substitute,
- the per­son who is in charge dur­ing your trip of your minor chil­dren or a hand­i­capped per­son liv­ing in your place, pro­vid­ed that their names were men­tioned on the contract,
- the per­son who accom­pa­nies you dur­ing the cruise, for the above rea­sons men­tioned, pro­vid­ed that this per­son is list­ed on the sub­scrip­tion invoice for the cruise.
The insur­ers will take in charge the expens­es only in the case of a dis­ease or an acci­dent which pre­scribes strict­ly to stay home, requires med­ical care and does not require the assis­tance of any oth­er pro­fes­sion­al person.

COMPLICATIONS BECAUSE OF PREGNANCY result­ing in the inca­pac­i­ty to work, and pro­vid­ed that the per­son is not preg­nant for more than 6 months.

REDUNDANCY of your­self or your common-​law hus­band /​wife, pro­vid­ed that you were not informed at the time of book­ing of the cruise or sub­scrib­ing this contract.

A HEARING IN COURT, Exclu­sive­ly in the fol­low­ing cas­es : Sworn or wit­ness in court, adop­tion pro­ce­dure, appoint­ment as an expert by the court, pro­vid­ed that the noti­fi­ca­tion date is the same as the cruise period.

NOTIFICATION TO AN ADDITIONAL EXAM due to a unknown fail­ure at the time of book­ing of the cruise or sub­scrib­ing this con­tract. This applies only to grad­u­ate stud­ies, pro­vid­ed that the addi­tion­al exam is dur­ing the cruise period.

DAMAGE OF BUSINESS OR PRIVATE PREMISES due to fire, explo­sion, water dam­age, theft requir­ing the atten­dance of the insured on the depar­ture date.

JOB OR ALLOWANCE FOR VOCATIONAL TRAINING Pro­vid­ed that it starts before or dur­ing the cruise.

CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION OF THE PAID HOLIDAYS BY THE EMPLOYER, Grant­ed before the cruise with the excep­tion of com­pa­ny man­agers, free lance pro­fes­sion­als, crafts­men, tem­po­rary employ­ees in the enter­tain­ment indus­try. A 20% fee is charged.

PROFESSIONAL TRANSFER Required by your employ­er and not result­ing from a query by your­self with the exclu­sion of com­pa­ny man­agers, free lance pro­fes­sion­als, crafts­men and tem­po­rary employ­ees in the enter­tain­ment indus­try. A 20% fee is charged.

VISA REFUSED BY THE STATE AUTHORITIES, Pro­vid­ed that no oth­er appli­ca­tion was reject­ed pre­vi­ous­ly by the state author­i­ties of this coun­try. Doc­u­men­tary evi­dence issued by the Embassy will be requested.

ARE EXCLUDED :

The can­cel­la­tion of the cruise result­ing from :
-a dis­ease requir­ing psy­chic and psy­chother­a­peu­tic care includ­ing ner­vous break­down with­out hos­pi­tal­iza­tion less than 3 days when the cruise was cancelled,
- vac­ci­na­tion omission,
- for no pre­sen­ta­tion for any rea­son of your iden­ti­ty card or passport,
- a dis­ease or an acci­dent which were pre­vi­ous­ly record­ed, a relapse, an aggra­va­tion or a
hos­pi­tal­iza­tion between the reg­is­tra­tion of the cruise and the sub­scrip­tion of the insur­ance contract,
- the par­tic­i­pa­tion or train­ing in com­pet­i­tive sports,
- also the insur­er is not involved if the per­son who is respon­si­ble for the can­cel­la­tion goes to hos­pi­tal when reserv­ing the cruise or sub­scrib­ing the contract

LIMITS OF THE GUARANTEES BY THE INSURER :

Accord­ing to the gen­er­al terms of sales of the cruise, therefore :
- BETWEENANDWEEKS BEFORE THE DEPARTURE : 40% OF THE RENTING AMOUNT
- LESS THANWEEKS BEFORE THE DEPARTURE : 100% OF THE RENTING AMOUNT, with deduction
of the fee
With a max­i­mum of 6 000 € per per­son and 30 000 € per event.

DAMAGE STATEMENT :

- the insured shall inform the rent­ing com­pa­ny with reg­is­tered let­ter as soon as he knows the rea­son why the cruise should be cancelled ,
- the rent­ing com­pa­ny will inform the insur­er with­in 5 work­ing days.
If these oblig­a­tions are not respect­ed and the cruise is being can­celled lat­er, the insur­er will reim­burse the can­cel­la­tion fees upon the first appear­ance of the dis­ease or acci­dent or any oth­er rea­son involv­ing the can­cel­la­tion of the cruise, accord­ing to the can­cel­la­tion fees list­ed in the gen­er­al terms of sales of the cruise (and detailed in this contract).
The insur­ance dec­la­ra­tion must be nec­es­sar­i­ly accom­pa­nied by a sup­port­ing state­ment including :
- in case of a dis­ease or an acci­dent : a med­ical cer­tifi­cate describ­ing the ori­gin, the nature, the seri­ous­ness and pre­dictable con­se­quences of the dis­ease or acci­dent. This must be sent by reg­is­tered mail to the doc­tor appoint­ed by the insur­ance com­pa­ny AXA, and your own doc­tor must be giv­en per­mis­sion by you to release any med­ical information,
- in case of death : pro­vide a cer­tifi­cate or record of civ­il status,
- any doc­u­ment, invoice, pre­scrip­tion that could be request­ed lat­er by the insur­ance company.
Must be also enclosed :
- the orig­i­nal sub­scrip­tion invoice with the amount due to the rent­ing compagny
- the proof that you agreed to the guar­an­tee CANCELLATION OF THE CRUISE issued by the rent­ing company,
- in case of acci­dent, the rea­sons and cir­cum­stances as well as the name(s) and address of the per­sons involved and witnesses.
If you are not eli­gi­ble for reim­burse­ment, the insured agrees in prin­ci­ple a check-​up by the doc­tor appoint­ed by the insur­ance company.

The amount of the can­cel­la­tion insur­ance fee for the guarantee
to can­cel the cruise represents :
4% OF THE TOTAL RENTAL PRICE

Cruise plus insurance guarantee (Damage Waiver)

PROPELLER DAMAGE
In case of dam­age or acci­den­tal loss of the pro­peller, we will refund the amount of the invoice for repair or replace­ment there­of, exclud­ing any parts or labour and this up to the deposit.

GUARANTEE
If the rent­ing com­pa­ny holds part or the com­plete con­trac­tu­al bond (exclud­ing the clean­ing deposit) we com­mit our­selves to refund the amount with­held. Max­i­mum deposit lim­it­ed to 2 000 €.

INTERRUPTION OF YOUR STAY
We will refund the amount paid to the rental com­pa­ny for the peri­od not used when you are oblig­ed to inter­rupt your cruise for the fol­low­ing rea­sons : seri­ous ill­ness, death of a close rel­a­tive, redun­dan­cy of you or even your spouse or your destroyed home.

BICYCLE INSURANCE
Dur­ing your cruise you are insured for the uses of bicy­cles hired from one of our bases. The guar­an­tee is for up to 4 600 000 euros for injury and up to 76 000 euros for mate­r­i­al dam­age and con­se­quen­tial loss. There will be a deductibe of 76 euros per claim. Theft, fire and acci­den­tal dam­age to bicy­cles are reim­bursed on the basis of a cap­i­tal of 150 euros per event, after deduc­tion of an excess of 30 euros.

ACCIDENTAL PHYSICAL DAMAGE
Dur­ing your cruise in case of an acci­dent while sail­ing we guran­tee the pay­ment for death or inva­lid­i­ty up to 7 600 euros or in case of hav­ing to take sick­ness time off work 15 euros per day for max­i­mum 3 months with the first three days being deductible. The acci­dent must be the result of a non inten­tion­al action and the cause must be sud­den and exte­ri­or. Only peo­ple of more than 16 years old and less than 70 can ben­e­fit from this cover.

CONTRACT VALIDITY
The con­tract takes effect from the date of receipt of the appli­ca­tion form with the pay­ment You will receive a cer­tifi­cate list­ing all the guar­an­tees. This cer­tifi­cate will be your receipt.
Any form returned with­out pay­ment will not be valid.
