We’ll train you on handling your licence-free boat so you can head off on the Canal du Rhône à Sète or the emblematic Canal du Midi with total peace of mind. The only thing you’ll need to worry about is having fun ! Welcome to the heart of the Camargue and its exceptional landscapes. From Carnon, you can head towards Aigues Mortes, where you’ll be able to moor up and enjoy the wealth of attractions the town has to offer. There are some spectacular fortifications here, and you’re sure to be amazed by Constance and Carbonnière Towers. Take the time to cross these ramparts and stroll in the narrow streets of this fortified city. Notable buildings to admire include the Pénitents Blancs and Pénitents Gris Chapels.
An invitation to relax and while the days away between the Camargue and the deep blue sea
Make sure you navigate as far as the commune of Grau du Roi. Here you can enjoy the sea and the beach, whether for a few hours or a few days. A last look at the Old Lighthouse of Grau du Roi and you can opt to set off on the Canal du Midi, which will take you to Sète and to Thau Lagoon. Every stop will give you the opportunity to discover the traditions and gastronomic specialities of this region. From tielle sétoise (squid and tomato pie) to seafood platters, you’ll be able to sample regional delights in one of the many restaurants along your route or take them back to your boat for a typical local feast to enjoy together. Your whole crew will gather around you as you experience going through the locks and, if you’re travelling past Agde, you’ll be amazed by the round shape of this veritable work of art.
